NATUREM SOLUTIONS has been carrying out since 2017 a mission for the company PRAYON (Belgium), a leader of the phosphate industry. It focuses on the management and treatment of the water from a phosphogypsum landfill. For that purpose, NATUREM SOLUTIONS is responsible for laboratory tests as well as the design, follow-up of the construction and the commissioning assistance for the leachate treatment facilities. The proposed treatment combines reactive substrates, phytoremediation and constructed wetlands. The selected solution displays multiple benefits : water treatment without energy consumption, ease of operation and robustness, as well as improvement of biodiversity.
